The art of Matsubayashi-Ryu was founded in 1947 by O’Sensei Shoshin Nagamine. The WMKA was established by him to preserve and perpetuate the art. It has branches throughout the world. As his father’s successor, Soke Takayoshi Nagamine dedicated himself to preserving his father’s teachings and the legacy of Matsubayashi-Ryu. After the loss of Soke Nagamine, the WMKA board elected Yoshitaka Taira, Hanshi, 10th Dan to serve as the current WMKA President.
SRKDI represents a collection of dojos and practitioners of Okinawan karate from around the world, and we relish the opportunity to share ideas and training practices so as to better our dojos, students, and ourselves. We believe that karate training should respect the traditional ways, but it should also never become a stagnant pond. To that end, we strive to reflect upon our training and to share training, practice, teaching, and management insights with each other. That is what it means to be in association with other karateka.
A well established and renowned Karate school in Whitefield, Bangalore, offering genuine traditional Okinawan Karate to all members of the community. We train people of all ages ranging from busy adults to active kids. Karate, self defence and fitness taught within a traditional format but using modern educational tools proven and tested. We do train Sports Karate for students who wish to grow their career as an Athlete with World Karate Federation Standards, by our WKF Licensed coach Sensei Sunil G .
